Summer Institute Season Has Begun!

During the next several months, the TCRWP will host four week-long institutes at Teachers College. Across the four weeks, over 4800 teachers and administrators will attend both beginning and returning sections devoted to learning about reading and writing workshops and Units of Study.

As in years past, TCRWP staff developers will travel across the country, and abroad, to conduct ‘Homegrown Institutes.’ From Wisconsin, to California, to Maine, to Hong Kong, to India, to Japan and beyond, the TCRWP will work with over 11,000 teachers and administrators in 100 cities before the 2018-2019 school year begins. Staff developers provide keynotes, sections on workshop teaching, and choice workshops for participants. Some school districts opt to have advanced institutes or sections to provide on-going support for teachers eager to learn more.

Time for learning, reflection and planning with colleagues during the summer is precious and we feel honored to work with teachers and administrators who give up a portion of their summer vacation to study with us. In addition to these summer institutes, the TCRWP offers many K-8 institutes during the school year on various topics. Follow these links for more information, for fall institutes, winter institutes and spring institutes.
