Student Work

The TCRWP recommends and depends upon the collection and close assessment of student work. While this may include video clips of students in whole class, partnership, or club conversation, most often the study of student work revolves around students’ writing samples. We recommend that teachers make it a habit of collecting student writing across the day and across the year in order to make effective instructional plans and that they save many of these samples to use as models for current and future students. With that effort in mind, we have collected written student samples of work that may be helpful to other workshop teachers.
