Symposium Series

Uniting Theory and Practice: A Symposium Series at Teachers College, hosted by Advancing Literacy

We are pleased to invite you to a new Teachers College symposium series. The goal of this series is to bring together researchers and authors with experienced practitioners. You’ll have the opportunity, for instance, to hear about brain research and reading, listen to an award-winning children’s author, or explore new research on multiliteracies—and you’ll hear an experienced practitioner thinking about possible implications for classroom practice and curriculum innovation. We’ll gather virtually and informally for an hour with professors, researchers, children's authors, and practitioners. Click here to learn more about the speakers.

All sessions take place live, over Zoom, once a month beginning Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Each symposium will run from 6:00-7:00 PM Eastern Time (New York). Some sessions may be recorded for distribution to members. Purchasers and attendees will receive Zoom information before the scheduled event.
